Dr. Rathel-White's Story

Dr. Jeanna Rathel-White, a dedicated educator, has a remarkable journey that intertwines with the very fabric of the Lancaster County School District. Having both attended and taught within the district, she possesses a unique perspective. Her commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, as she now seeks to join the school board. Dr. Rathel-White's passion lies in ensuring that the district flourishes and evolves, providing the best possible education for the children of the county. Her vision is one of growth, strength, and unwavering support for the community's young learners.  Moreover, her connection to the district runs even deeper: her own children also attended these schools. Now as she looks forward, she eagerly anticipates her grandchildren joining the district soon. Dr. Rathel-White's dedication to the future of education in Lancaster County is truly commendable.

Dr. Rathel-White embodies the very essence of integrity, qualifications, and experience, making her an exceptional choice for the school board candidate in District 6. Her unwavering commitment to honesty and respect stems from the family values instilled during her upbringing in the church. These principles guide her decisions, ensuring that she always acts in the best interest of the community and our children.

Dr. Rathel-White's impressive qualifications speak volumes about her dedication to education. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (Winthrop), a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (USC), and a Master's Degree in Education
Administration (USC). Her academic journey culminated in a Doctorate of Philosophy in Special Education (USC), reflecting her expertise in this critical field. 

Her extensive experience includes 20 years of teaching within the Lancaster County School District, where she left an indelible mark before retiring. Additionally, she contributed her knowledge and passion to the University of South Carolina, teaching in the College of Education for three years.
